OUR BELIEFS

// It's All About Jesus //

The summary of all our beliefs is Jesus Christ. Everything we believe stems from knowing God through His word, His son, Jesus. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, the explanation of life. Everything we do should directly reflect this core belief: it's all about Jesus.

// Belong Before Believe //

Good deeds have never saved someone. We're all people with the same needs for love and acceptance. We've found both through Jesus, and we desire to help others.

// The Church //

God chose people—specifically a community of people called the Church—to carry out His mission on Earth. The church is God's plan "A" to reach people, no plan "B". The local church is meant to be God's direct expression of His love.

Doctrinal Beliefs

Scripture

We believe in the Scriptures as originally given and that they are infallibly and uniquely authoritative and free from error of any sort in all matters with which they deal, including scientific and historical as well as moral and theological (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13).

God

We believe in the eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Creation

We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis and his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Romans 3:10-18).

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, both God and man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16).

Christ's Death & Resurrection

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25).

Christ's Bodily Ascension

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, and His personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for the Church (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11).

Water Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Jesus (Matthew 28:19).

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15).

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14 and as manifested in the Early Church.

Spirit-Filled Living

We believe in the Spirit-filled life, and perfecting holiness in the fear of God as an expression of christian faith (Ephesians 5:18; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1).

Healing

We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14-16).

Communion

We believe in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).

Provision

It is the Father's will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on Earth. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve others. We believe provison is the will of God for every believer and always to be associated with God’s purpose (Deuteronomy 8:18; 2 Corinthians 8:9; 9:6-15).

  • Spiritual

    (John 3:3-11; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10)

  • Mental and Emotional

    (II Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3).

  • Physical

    (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24).

  • Financial

    (Joshua 1:8; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; II Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 34:10, 84:11; Philippians 4:19).

Eternal Life

We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16) and eternal punishment for unbelievers (Mark 9:43-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).

Vision & Values”

  • BIG FAITH

We are faith-filled, big thinking, bet-the-farm risk takers.

We’ll never insult God with small thinking, petty prayers or safe living. We believe faith without action has no value.

  • UNITY

We are all about the capital “C” Church.

The local church mobilized is the hope of the world and we know we can accomplish more together than apart. WE are unified in the mission that was given to JEsus by his father to reach those hurting and who are far from him.

  • SACRIFICE

We give up things we love for things we love even more.

It’s an honor to sacrifice for jesus and His church. It is a part of our daily lives.

  • EMPOWERMENT

We don’t recruit volunteers, we release leaders.

Volunteers do good things, but leaders change the world. We help people find their God-given purpose.

  • EVANGELISM

We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know JESUS.

To reach people no one is reaching, we’ll have to do things no one is doing.

  • GIVING

We will lead the way with irrational generosity.

We truly believe it is more blessed to give than to receive. By us living a generous life we believe we get the better end of the deal.

  • EXCITING

We will laugh hard, loud, and often.

Nothing is more fun than serving jesus with people you love.

  • EXCELLENCE

We always bring our best.

Excellence honors God and inspires people. We stive to make everyday a masterpiece and the floor we build off of for tomorrow.

  • MISSIONAL LIVING

We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers.

The church does not exist for us. We are the church and we exist for the world. Therefore we glow in dark places. We are here to spread God’s irrational grace, mercy and love

  • INTEGRITY

We will honor jesus and His church with integrity.

If we live with integrity nothing else matters.

If we don’t live with integrity nothing else matters.
